Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum

The bumps seen behind the tongue are the hypertrophied lymphoid follicles or enlarged tastebuds. Do not worry! These are perfectly normal. There will be discomfort when there is inflammation of these follicles. Drink plenty of warm water, use povidone iodine throat spray or gargles. You will feel better. Avoid smoking, fizzy drinks and coffee.
