Hello, since I ve had my dinner every time I eat I get a weird feeling in my throat. I ve just looked in my mouth and at back at my throet and all at the back down my throet I have little spots / lumps. Their not white just red or skin sort of colour but I can feel them all down the back of my throet? Is this an infection?
The bumps seen behind the tongue are the hypertrophied lymphoid follicles or enlarged tastebuds. Do not worry! These are perfectly normal. There will be discomfort when there is inflammation of these follicles. Drink plenty of warm water, use povidone iodine throat spray or gargles. You will feel better. Avoid smoking, fizzy drinks and coffee.
