Dermatologist Dr. Dr. Kakkar's  Response
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I will keep a possibility of a periungual wart. The surface of a wart is dry and rough.
Warts are asymptomatic or may be slightly painful in this region.
It is an infection caused by a virus, Human papilloma virus (HPV). The infection being acquired by direct innoculation of the virus into the skin.
Treatment of a periungual wart is ideally by Co 2 Laser vaporization. Wart can recur is a portion of it is left behind.
I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Regards
