What Causes Slurred Speech Along With Severe Headaches?

my pressure was 173/89 this afternoon. I had difficulty talking - slow in speech. Lasted a few minutes. Really bad headache. Chest hurt. Diagnosed with aortic septum aneurysm, moderate mitral regurgitation and cardiac arrhythmia. Was I having a TIA?

Hello,

Most probably you had a transient ischemic attack or TIA. Aortic septum aneurysm does affect high blood pressure. Do be very careful. My suggestions are as follows:
1) Tab. Telvas-LN daily once after breakfast.
2) Regular blood pressure monitoring
3) Regular intake of cardiac medication
4) Stress free life
5) Regular exercise
6) Meditation for at least 5 mins a day

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
