What Causes Slow Motor Coordination Skills?

good afternoon. I am a 59 almost 60 years old woman. My symptoms are - seemingly overnight my telephone answering skills seem to be much slower, I have to enunciate more, my handwriting is messier, and my taste buds are muted. I don t feel as tho I have had a stroke, no unconscienceness, but I am having more difficulty pulling up the right word for items and my typing is worse than it usually is. I have only spoken with my daughter, and she says to contact my family doctor and get a neurologyst, but I am a little hesitant for that. Do you think I should get a recommendation for a neurologyst?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are other problems of brain other then stroke that can start the same way as you said and progress. These symptoms indicate your higher mental fictions are somehow impaired. So your daughter is very right.
Please do not hesitate to see a neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
