What Causes Skipping Of Heart Beats And Whooping Cough?
I feel like I'm having skipped heart beats. I had this over a year ago & it went away. I'm recovering from a new strain of whooping cough & this has come back, many times a day. Is this serious?
It seems now that the skipped beats is causing the cough.
Whooping cough (pertussis) is an infection of the respiratory system caused by the bacterium Bordetella pertussis (or B. pertussis). Whenever our body gets sick and its fight infection by its own immune system as well as with the help of meds it puts stress on the body organs including heart. Once your infection will be cured completely your skipped beats will go away. yes skipped beats do cause coughing sometimes. I would also suggest you to get an ECG done by your treating doctor to make sure its just skipped beats not any other abnormal rhythm.
Good Luck
