What Causes Skin Peeling Around Ears Despite Taking Medications?

I had an ear infection (fungi got in) earlier last year. I sought treatment for it and finally had better hearing. I had been prescribed Candibec lotion ear drops. I finished treatment but my outer ear is still always and there s always skin peeling off. What is this? and is there any remedy for this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection. The fungal infections need time to be treated. So, I suggest to continue using the anti fungal cream for local application. I also suggest using anti fungal oral medication such as Fluconazole 150 mg once.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
