What Causes Shortness Of Breath?
I have been experiencing a sensation of sudden involuntary short breaths similar to the sort of breathing one might experience after crying for a long time. It has been going on for 4 months and it happens everyday, sometimes several times a day. Not sure what this is.

Shortness of breath can be caused by a number of factors.
It could be because of heart or lung or low hemoglobin.
To rule everything out you need to get some tests done which include.
Tests - ECG, 2D Echo, Chest X Ray, Complete blood count.
Further course of the treatment will depend on the results of these findings.
