Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

These symptoms are common in hypglycaemia, which means your blood glucose level might have fallen below 70mg/dl. Classical symptoms are confusion, dizziness, sweating, Cold hands & feet, etc
Drop in blood glucose level after taking Metformin is not a abnormal finding. It means his body is producing insulin naturally & it decreased glucose level even more strongly due to action of metformin
First of all 148 blood gluse level at around 6:30 pm was normal & he need not to take such a strong dose of metformin.
You should take a sugar candy & visit a physician as early as possible

Don't worry he would be fine
Hoping your query is solved
