Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had some issues with my Achilles tendon ( intermittant burning ) over the past year. I have an appointment with an Orthopedist July 7, but today I am having sharp shooting pain from that area. I still have the same level of motion. Could I have a partial tear? Thanks, Leigh
It is mainly due to inflammation of ligament. It takes a little long time for your pain to subside. You can take Voveran SR (Diclofenac Sustained Relief) two tab daily after food for 5 days. Apply Voveran gel tropically. From day 3 or day 4, you can start physiotherapy by taking short term diathermy. Also you can start exercises as suggested by physiotherapist.
