General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of sharp stinging sensation while passing urine, frequent urination and feel nausea; wants to know what it can be.
Surely the commonest reason is urinary tract infection.
The simplest way is to get the urine tests: routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity. This will give the diagnosis.
Also get the blood tests as WBC may be raised, go for kidney functions too.
Ultrasonography of the whole abdomen, particularly for urinary system to see any stones, secondary changes due to obstruction, infection and so on.
If the tests are positive then a course of an antibiotic can helps you to get a cure.
Also get treated if there are stones and so on.
Drink plenty of fluids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
