What Causes Sharp Right Sided Pain In The Lower Back?
Sometimes i get a sharp pain on the right side of my back above my buttocks. recently it has been just subtly and just like there all the time but sometimes it so sharp i cant move. Please let me know if this may be just a pulled muscle or something more serious
to distiguish if it is just a pulled muscle or a slipped disc or something more serious i would need to know a few more things that i would usually ask when someone comes in my office with the symptoms you are describing: 1. Is the pain radiating in one of your legs, if yes where exactly, and is there any numbness/ tinglingnerve feeling anywhere in the leg? 2. did you lift anything heavy or do you work in a job that is involving that regularly? 3. are you overweight or normal weight? 4. Do you do sports/ back exercise or do you sit in the office or at a desk a lot?
Usually i recommend physical therapy, pain medication like ibuprofen/ or injections, back exercises, local warming pads first and only if this doesnt get better after several weeks i recommed x-rays or mri scans. Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards
