Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m experiencing sharp pain in the underside of my foot in the padded area just behind my little toe. Icing doesn t help, Advil & Aleve don t seem to relieve it. While standing on a hard surface barefoot, the pain is almost pin point in the outside pad of the foot.
It could be a musculoskeletal pain or arthritis. As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedic and plan for an X-ray. Any trivial fracture also has to be ruled out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
