Hi,
Generally, pain and discomfort in abdomen doesn't lead to
fatigue or need to sleep.Feeling sleepy after meals is a very common condition.
It may be related to many reasons:
-Eating carbohydrate-rich foods, and overeating
-
Celiac disease, anemia,
hypothyroidism and food intolerance
-
Sharp pain in your upper abdomen can be related to
gastritis or gastric ulcer, that are an inflammation or sore on the lining of the stomach.
-You should take Omeprazol daily for one month, 30 minutes before breakfast.
I suggest you to have frequent small meals, that are low in carbohydrates. Also avoid fatty and processed foods.
Eat high-fiber foods, fruits and vegetables, grains and good fats .
If your symptoms don't improve after taking treatment and following these instructions, you should consult your doctor for a physical examination and other laboratory studies to diagnose the cause.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Suela Gjata,
