My dentist did a root canal on my upper far left tooth. It was done in two sessions, totaling 5.5 hours. He said there were 3 roots and that it was difficult. It has been 6 weeks since the last session. Apparently, according to the x-ray done afterwards, he went too far into the canal and it came out the other side. His assistant explained what happened, but the doctor just said it was a difficult tooth. I am still having pain in the gums above the adjacent tooth, way inside. Is this normal to still have pain?
