What Causes Sharp Pain In The Chest?
I have experienced two times now where I have severe sharp pain (scale of 1-10 its a 10 at its worse) in my mid chest that last for 3-5 mins and slowly goes away in time. no other symptoms. once in the middle of the night it woke me up. second now mid day.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the history of chest pain then it needs to be first ruled out for angina and for that better to get done the EKG and ECHO and some time stress test too if these are unremarkable then it could be hyperacidity and it can be managed with Tab Omeprazole 40mg once in day hope this information helps.
