What Causes Sharp Pain In Obliquus Capitis?

I m having pain in the back right lower part of my head.... I guess where the neck ends and the skull begins... I think the Obliquus Capitus area. I would explain it as sharp pain... but it s not extreme sharp...it is just not continuous. It is just in short spurts. I m thinking it may just be a tension headache or migraine... but hoping it is not something worse.

Hi.
While this might be a tension headache it may also be occipital neuritis--inflammation of the greater occipital nerve. Neither would be too serious but you should get checked by a doctor
