What Causes Sharp Pain In Lower Right Side Of Abdomen?

I am currently having pain that has been coming and going since last night. the pain is on the lower right side of my abdomen its like a sharp pain that comes and goes but has been more frequent in the last couple of hours. I m not sure what it is or what to do about it. Thank You,Gloria Starks

You should consult general surgeon immediately.

Right lower abdominal pain may be due to appendicitis (inflammation of appendix) that needs immediate medical attention. Hence it need to be ruled out first.

You need detailed clinical examination for appropriate diagnosis.
Depending upon clinical examination following investigation help to confirm diagnosis and further management.

- Complete Blood Count.
- CRP.
- Ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis.
- Renal function test.
- Liver function test.
- Urine examination.
