What Causes Sharp Pain During Urination Post Appendectomy?

Just a little concerned. I am 4 days post op from an appendectomy and today I am starting to have pain when I urinate. It was dull pain until today. I don t feel like I have a bladder infection. No frequent urination or blood just a sharp pain at the end of my urination.

Hi and welcome.
I dont think this is related to your previous appendectomy. This may be sign of urinary stones and if these stones are small then it should not be treated aggresively since in most cases it passes spontaneously and dissapear with urination. You should just drink plenty of fluids and raspberry tea to promote urination. If you notice fever, blood in urine or pain, you should see urologist and then some invasive procedures may be considered. Other causes inlcude std or urinary infection but i dont think these are present in your case. Wish you good health. Regards
