What Causes Severe Trembling Of The Lower Leg While Having Arthritis?

My left lower leg trembles sometimes. I am diabetic and have various health issues.
Sometimes when I get in bed I notice again, the tremors. Also, been diagnosed with osteopenia arthritus an currently tak meds dfor rheumatoid arthritis. Take meds for gout due to 2-3 flare ups. A1C this month was 6.3. Have degeneration of disk, spondyloslisthesis of the spine. Right arm and fingers tingle when I turn my head right. In the past have had much steroid injections to release pain.
I called my doctor today and am scheduled for X-rays. Sorry....did not know I need to pay right now, and will wait till next week when I see my doctor. Thanks anyways

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are many causes of leg trembling., one of the main cause is when the nerves get damaged. When the Central nervous system is affected such symptoms may arise because of Parkinson's disease. Thyroid gland problems also may lead to such symptoms. However, it can be hereditary or because of some side effect of the medicines taken. You did not write anything about your past history regarding your ailments. No worries. You may need some nerve supplements. You should see a Neurologist & get all Nerve conduction tests done, you may also require to go through some blood tests, CT, MRI & EMG. In the meantime try to lead a stress-free life, slow walking can be of help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
