What Causes Severe Swelling In The Upper Ear Lobe?
My son is 6. He came home from school with both of his ears swollen on the top of the ear. They are swelling so much that they are pushing away from his head. What could be causing this and how concerned should I be? He has not had any trauma or piercings to either of his ears.

It could be a local inflammatory reaction.
It is better to start a short course of antibiotics preferably amoxicillin.
If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
