What Causes Severe Stomach Cramps During Pregnancy?

Hi My doctor told me Monday I was 2 weeks pregnant, later that day I was cramping and had brown discharge, Tuesday cramps were gone only the brown discharge stayed, Icalled my doctor and he said to rest now it s friday and have bad cramping like period and bleeding. I m worried

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it can be implantation bleed, and cramp may be due to the same however threat of abortion persists so it's better to get a medical emergency room visit and get an urgent scan done to rule out any such possibility.

Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen can be used if the pain is severe otherwise better to avoid all medications if tolerable during the first trimester.
