What Causes Severe Soreness In The Knee After A Bone Density Scan?

so I was having a bone density scan and my good knee was really hot according to the scan. so they had me go and get an xray. its been really sore for awhile and has had to bear the weight because i have CRPS in the left leg and is a very severe case. what could it be and why did the technicians act so strange?

Hi,

It seems there is some confusion. Bone density scan does not show hot and cold spots. It is shown only in a bone scan. Hot spot only means there is increased activity at the site like in arthritis, fractures, infections etc. I cannot comment on technicians behavior.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
