What Causes Severe Skin Rashes Despite Having Stomach Infection?
My friend has been confirmed with amoebiasis and due to which she has got severe rash. It looks like blood cloths formed under her skin and some times they swell up due to which she experiences pain in her joint. she was admitted in the hospital for a week and was given steriods and it reduced. But and she is still on oral steriods after discharge but it does not seem to be helping. We have gone to 3 different doctors. and they say that the skin rash will appear till her stomach infection does not go as it is a triggering agent. but its been almost 3-4 weeks now or longer that she is suffering from this. And everyday she keeps getting a few new spots and then goes away. Please can you suggest something
As per my surgical experience, the skin rashes with stomach infection is most likely an auto immune reaction with systemic manifestations of rash which can range up to even cancer as well. Kindly consult an expert immunologist for work up of the issue and get best guidelines ahead.
