What Causes Severe Right Ear Pain?

Hi there! :S I am having severe pain in my right ear whenever i burp, yawn or apply pressure to the bottom of the ear. This i do by pushing upwards around the ear flip. I do have a suspect though: ear infection. I am almost convinced of this, as it s the typical symptoms (at least that s what google said). Thank you in advance :) Sincerely, Patrick.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated. An otoscopic examination is also required to rule out infections and tympanic membrane perforation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
