What Causes Severe Pain Under Melanoma Removal Site?
My husband had a melanomia removed from his right forearm 16 years ago. They said they got all of it and he didn t have to have treatment because it was in the early stages. Now 16 years later he is having deep, aching pain under his scar. Could the cancer have come back or been dormant all these years? He has hot flashes and is extremely fatigued all the time. Has started drinking heavily to compensate for the pain. He is also having severe headaches and neck pain, almost every day.

No,this is not likely to be melanoma relapse after so many years and there is probably just pain due to scarring or graniloma. it can be treated surgical if pain become unbearable but otherwise,treatment is not required.
