General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thank you for trusting us with your query.
Pain, numbness and tingling are due to nerve injury.
The spine is made of several independent vertebrae ( bones) that are held together by various muscles and tissue .
Between each pair of vertebrae there are discs which cushions the joint and provides flexibility pity
The spine protects the spinal cord ( bunch of nerves arising from the brain and that supply all the areas of your body.

when this protective covering is injured or damaged or the discs are worn out and get displaced, nerve compression occurs which cause varying symptoms like tingling, numbness, pain.
Causes for these problems also vary from person to person.
I would recommend a visit to a neurologist for an exam, X-rays and mri scan if required.
hope I've helped. please let us know if you need any clarification.
wish you the best of health.
