I haven't been able to sleep lately. As I am falling asleep I have stomach pain in my upper abdominal area and then it feels like a jolt of adrenalin overwhelms me and I wake up. I continue tryin to go back to sleep but it keeps reocurring the same way. Can anybody help me?
Hi, When patient with similar complaints comes to me I suspect acid reflux and gastric ulcer,
Try to sleep keeping your head end elevated, Antacid like pantaprazole can help you lowering your acid, Your treating doctor will be knowing the dose of it,
If problem persists, some investigation like ultrasound abdomen, CBC has to be done, And visit a gastroenterologist as they are expert in dealing with this condition.
Hope this information helps.
