What Causes Severe Pain In The Stomach Extending To The Thigh And Knee?

Have recenty started having very bad pain from the thigh down to the knee. It started out as a sharp pain on the front left side of my stomach and wrapped around to my back. As pain like a kidney infection. Then continued down to buttocks and now down my thigh/hip and knee. going on three weeks now. Cant grin and bear it any more. Even with insurance I can afford to see 1 doctor let alone more. I do have a broken vetabret but have been stable and painless for years. Also noticed neck popping. Could it all be related any suggestions would help. Or remedies for pain that wont keep me horizontal

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Considering your history of undergoing spinal surgery I recommend you follow up with your orthopedic surgeon at the earliest. If you have symptoms of burning urination you should consume adequate amounts of water.

If it isn't related to your spine and related to your kidneys you will need to undergo an ultrasound scan to confirm the presence of renal stones and start treatment accordingly.

In the meanwhile, Paracetamol or diclofenac tablets will help control the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr ADNAN SAYEED, General & Family Physician
