What Causes Severe Pain In The Shoulder?

I am having mild pain like someone poking you in the shoulder. It is between the nipple and the shoulder. The pain stays in that one area. I had a tick bite there a couple of weeks ago. I don t really have any of what I would call symptoms for a heart attack. But I don t know if it is a tick bite thing either. What could it be?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
You are having upper outer quandrant chest pain. So we should first rule out cardiac chest pain in your case.
So get done ecg and 2d echo.
If both these are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Also don't worry for tick bite related pain.
Possibility of simple musculoskeletal pain is more likely.
So avoid movements causing pain. Avoid sudden jerky movements of chest.
Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Take simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
