Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my daughter is 18 and has a history of a shoulder seperation. This was 2 years ago. She is a dancer and recently started noticing increased pain in the same shoulder. it has progressively been getting worse over the last several days. She cannot reach above her head to put a shirt on, or lay on her left side. The pain is on the outside of her shoulder and radiates down her shoulder blade. She said the pain is better when she sits but worse when she stands or lies down.

What Causes Severe Pain In The Shoulder?
Hello, As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan to rule out ligament or tendon injury. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
