Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Daughter ..16yrs. Old diagnosed with TMJ. Has had chronic right side ear pain and infection has been ruled out. Have been to the ER,urgent care, and ENT but she still complains of pain. I have also noticed a hard lump behind that same ear directly behind the earlobe. Have no idea what to do next. CT SCAN and bloodwork at DR were clear but I m really worried.
As you have already consulted with ENT surgeon and rule out infection and CT scan also normal. So cause for lump will be otitis externa. For that take tablet Paracetamol. Do hot fomentation. Don't insert anything in ears.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale,
