What Causes Severe Pain In The Penis During Intercourse?

Hello Doctor, I am in a relationship from last 6 years and have had sex before, but I am facing a problem now, whenever i get into sexual intercourse with my partner my penis hurts with a sore pain after sex and become almost impossible to give another try which was never a big deal earlier, it never happened before, it itself gets normal after couple of hours but I am really scared if something s wrong with me. Please advice !!

Hello,

Severe pain in penis after intercourse especially when you do not have any such history can be due to:-

1. Vigorous & prolonged sex when the muscle or tissue may get injured, making the penis sore.
2. Due to an allergic reaction to condoms, spermicides & sex toys.
3. Diseases, Peyronie's disease, Yeast infection, STI's, UTI, etc.
4. Lack of lubrication during sex can irritate the penis causing it to get sore.

You are suggested to get physically examined, get CBC, Urinalysis, STI's tests done to detect the cause of discomfort & pain. In the meantime avoid sex & avoid multiple partners.
