What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Right Side?
I have been having severe lower right quantrant pain. The pain is worse than child birth. My Internal Medicine Doctor did a CT Scan, and his nurse called me and said nothing showed up, except an inflamed liver. I have Crohn s Disease and a Colostomy, and I have had 35 surgeries in total and 9 in the last 5 years. What would suggest I do?

Crohn disease can cause pain in the lower right side due to its tendency to affect the start of the colon which is in that area.
Also if you have had so many surgeries local adhesion can cause the bowel to have problems with the circulation of the blood time after time.
None of these would come out in the CT scan which would rule out problems with the solid organs like the ovaries, uterus, liver, spleen, pancreas, gallbladder, etc but does not give sufficient information for organs with air like the stomach and the bowel.
You will need good treatment for Crohn disease and also sometimes a colonoscopy might be needed to visualize the bowel and make sure all is well with it.
