What Causes Severe Pain In The Left Breast?

I am having a gripping pain in my breast that happens a few times a day. It feels like a tighting or gripping pain just in my left breast. I also feel discomfort from time to time on the same side as I breath deeply. I recently started yoga about a month ago and thought maybe I was just sore from that, however the pain is continuing. What might be causing this ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The pain can be due to fibrocystic changes or fibroadenosis in the breast. I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist for proper examination and get an ultrasound of breast done to confirm the diagnosis and get further treatment accordingly.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
