What Causes Severe Pain In The Hips While Walking?

I have terrible pain shooting through my hip that prevents me from walking. While reviewing a copy of one of test performed, I noticed that I have minimal spurring of the roof of the acetabulum. The pains seems to be getting worse. I was told to walk but when I do I find it difficult to move after I rest. Could this spurring be part of the problem.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As the first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If pain persists, you can consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
