What Causes Severe Pain In The Chest On The Left Side?

I had savere pain in my left upper chest and seeemed more severe within about three days. started feeling pain down my left leg and at times in my left arm but never at the same time as my chest pain.my second attack felt as though i was having a full blown heart attack.assuming thats what it would of felt like. Dr. said i had chest wall pain and a swollen chest wall.perscribed me prezidone a few pain meds and in two days feeling so much better.why they didnt do this on my first visit to the er im not sure,but my pain wasnt as bad.it was tolerable.second visit,i felt pain i neever want to feel again.how do u stop or control sweeling in ur chest wall? my mom had a tripple bypass three or four years younger than me and i am 51.she is now passed.im terified of a heart attack after seeing what she indured. thank you so much and God Bless You

it might be due to acute severe gastritis or Solan chest wall or due to some heart issues better to take one echocardiogram to rule out you have any vessel disease avoid taking spicy oily Foods outside Food and junk foods. have breakfast in early morning without skipping it. drink plenty of water as much as you can better to consult with their cardiologist once and after his opinion for the further management.
