What Causes Severe Pain In The Abdomen After Kidney Stone Removal?

hello my roomate just had a kidney stone removed and just today had a stent removed from his kidney is it normal for him to be experining pain on a scale of 1-10 with pain being a 10 he been taking the meds the doc gave him but it dont seem to be helping could he have another kidney stone and if so should he go to the er to get it soon about seems that heat helps but as soon as he walks or try to lay down the pain comes back

It could be a recurrent stone or kidney injury. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can consult a urologist and plan for an ultrasound scan.
