What Causes Severe Pain In Right Hip Radiating Towards Leg Despite Taking Gabapentin?

I HAVE SEVERE PAIN FROM MY RIGHT FRONT HIP OR TOP OF MY RIGHT LEG DOWN THROUGH MY LEG. THIS PAIN IS SEVERE, I HAD X-RAY, OK, BLOOD WORK OK, MRI, OK CAT SCAN OK,SO WITH ALL THAT, I STILL HAVE THIS SEVERE PAIN. DOC PUT ME ON GABAPENTIN, WHICH SO FAR HAS DONE NOTHING. IS THERE A GOOD MEDICINE TO STOP THIS PAIN.... LORATAB, ULTRAM,OXICODIENE AM ALERGIC TO THEM..... THANKS

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Gabapentin is used for nerve related pain which may be the cause of your symptoms since no structural cause has been found on imaging.

If this medication has not worked for you, there are other medications for neuralgia (nerve related pain).
Eg lyrica, amitriptyline, nortriptyline, tegretol, cymbalta

You doctor may consider trying one or more of these with you.
