What Causes Severe Pain In Legs And Feet On Withdrawal From Diclofenac?

I have recently stopped taking 150mg (75 mg x 2) diclofenac over a 2 year period for sciatica. I withdrew over a period of about 3 months but since stopping completely over a week ago I ve experienced a lot of aches and pains in my legs and feet. My sciatica cleared up some time ago. Are these withdraw symptoms normal and are they likely to stop?

Hi,

As you have taken for such a long duration it will take time plus I recommend you to take few tests like INR, bleeding time, platelets, CBC as it might have effected these and drink lots of fluids also coconut water etc., and once get tested for electrolytes (sodium, potassium etc.) it can be weakness too.

Do you have fever?

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
