General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Nerve compression syndrome should be ruled out in your case. This can be due to injury to lumbar spine or discs. A physical examination by orthopedician followed by a X ray and a MRI if required will rule out the condition. If you were my patient in such case i would suggest wearing lumbar supporting braces, taking NSAIDs like Aceclofenac ,muscle relaxants like Tizanidine and neurotropic drugs like Pregabalin. Physiotherapy and muscle strengthening exercises also should be carried out after consulting a physiotherapist. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
