What Causes Severe Pain Between Shoulder Blades While Breathing?
I m having pain between my shoulder blades, just on the right side. When I breathe deeply it hurts more, and also when I move the affected area or even laugh there is a sudden jolt of pain. Is this something to be concerned about? Charlotte YYYY@YYYY
Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Pain between shoulder blade can be due to frequent poor posture, local inflammation of tendon or nearby vertebrae. I would like to ask you about your occupation and posture you are frequently acquiring at work place. If you are suppose to work on a computer or that kind of office work then this type of pain is very common. To relieve symptoms you can use hot and cold therapy to the affected region. Ice application is very easy and simple method for it. Have physiotherapy for shoulder joint pain. Try to change posture frequently. Take 2 minutes break every half an hour and do some stretching exercise during the interval. If the pain is moderate to severe then you can use Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDS) to reduce pain and inflammation. In case of persistent for several months, consult your doctor. Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care. Thank you.
