What Causes Severe Pain And Tingling Sensation In The Big Toe?

my husband gets terrible pain in big toe and electric shocks and can t sleep at night because of it. his doctor put him on Cymbalta but doesn t seem to work. is there anything else that can be done? also he has bump on next toe to the big toe that shoots pain when touched. can you suggest anything that can help. he s been told he has peripherial neuropathy. he does not have diabetes. thank you

hi mam according to the symptoms patient might have gout please check uric acid levels in the blood to confirm, if there is increased uric acid levels diagnosis of gout can be made and further treatment can be started Ibuprofen for pain and allopurinol to decrease uric acid levels.
