What Causes Severe Numbness In The Hands And Feet?

In the middle of class I had that light headed feeling but in my whole body. I went home and was freezing even though I had on two thick blankets and the heat on, even my fiance as sweating. My hands and feet went numb too. I waited it out and now that its passed my whole body is extremely sore and I have a major headache.
