Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Dear are you male or female?? Since when you're suffering from above problem?? It may be due to cervical spondylosis or radiculopathy or muscle spasm or fibromyalgia or chronic pain syndrome etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Use pain killers, avoid high pillows, use cold and worm compression.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

I have had neck pain on the left side both left back and left side for several weeks. Advil does not help it at all. The only relief is lying down and not moving. The soreness is felt with each movement. I also feel cracking noise which is not painful several times with each move. Wonder if this could be just fibromyalgia or TMJ. Have not seen a doctor but have an appointment next month.

I have constant pulsatile tinnitus for about 9 months now in left ear. Seen doc. No infection. Had MRI and CT scans...normal. Now when I am walking or exercising the pulsating is getting stronger and today had quite severe pain in left side of neck. Took ages to ease. Any ideas?

I am in a physical therapy class for pain on my shoulders, recently after one session I have experienced pain in my neck. I thought it was a mild strain but it has continued now for 6 days. It began on the left side now it is at the base of my neck in the rear. I can t lift my head as the pain is there, I have taken pain killers (left over from an earlier diagnosis in my joints last year), it helps but I think that this is too long. Any suggestions?
