I have been suffering with an undiagnosed condition for about five weeks now. Initially I had extreme nausea every other day but it was not constant. Would go from constipation to diarrhea. The nausea finally subsided and then the pain started. Very tender and sore in abdomen area and specifically under right breast bone and left side as well.....I wake up feeling ok, but within 5 hours, the pain will hit and while my abdomen is still tender, the extreme pain is more on left side and in radiates to the middle of upper part of back. Excruciating pain which I have never experienced. 1st blood work shows elevated lipase level of 76, few days later at 140 and ultrasound noted dilated pacreatic duct and dilated common bile duct. Each day it gets worse but doctors office cannot do the ERCP endoscope test until August 9th. I have had pancreatitis one time about 5 years ago. I do not drink alcohol. I cannot believe as sick as I am that I would have to wait this long. Neither test showed any other abnormalities except for lipase. I honestly don t have a clue as to what I may have but I am truly miserable, lost about 5 or 6 pounds just in last 2 weeks. I have no appetite and anything I drink, just don t taste like it normally does. Please tell me what condition(s) I could possibly be suffering from. Lastly, I have NOT been prescribed any medications and I am very concerned.
