What Causes Severe Nausea And Abdominal Discomfort?

I am having a lot of gastro issues. I wake in the night frequently very nauseous. I will be sitting at night and feel perfectly fine. I go to bathroom to prepare for bed, floss, brush, wash my face. I become very sick to my stomach and feel like vomiting. At least five of seven nights this happens.

Hi,

There can be several causes of nausea at night which are mainly due to disturbances in the gastrointestinal tract. Any problem like acidity in the stomach, heartburn, an ulcer can cause it. I don't know your gender, if you are females then definitely you can have during the time of periods.

It can also be from the use of any deodorant, room freshener, spray.

It can be controlled by taking light meals in the evenings, taking a brisk walk after eating in the evening, taking small meals in a day, avoiding coffee before sleep.

You can also try Domperidone tablet but I feel you will feel better by non-drug measures.

Still, if there is no improvement in symptoms after following this protocol then get yourself checked by a physician to identify a particular cause.
