What Causes Severe Muscle Spasms?

When I lay down, I have spasms which causes me to curl up. These occur about three or four times over a short period. I have no pain. This has manifested over the last year. This only occurs when I lay down. I do spend hours at my computer though, and the research I have done on line has suggested that might be the reason. I believe this is the cause, but I wanted to get an expert opinion, as I have only started to spend all these hours at the computer for a bout a year and a half.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. After going through your query in my opinion these are muscle cramps. It may be related to vitamin deficiencies . In acute stage rest and analgesics and EVION LC ONCE DAILY IS GIVEN FOR NEARLY 21 DAYS.Sometimes vitamin D deficiency can cause this so serum vitamin D test is advised if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required. Calcium supplementation maybe of use. In my opinion long sitting on computer in nothing to do with it. I think your query answered.Welcome to any follow up query.
