What Causes Severe Knee Pain After A Cracking Feeling While Working Out?

Hi, im overweight and i started a gym class this week. yesterday as i was doing jumping jacks i heard and felt my knee crack. I hurt for a sec but i continued and felt fine to finish my 1 hour class. i had major pain all night and now too. hard time putting pressure on it and the pain is in the back part. I can feel it in my throat almost.

Hello,

I think you should do a x-ray of the knee as soon as possible because you may be having a dislocation of the joint due to jumping jacks. Use anti-inflammatory drugs such acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain till and use ice packs.
