What Causes Severe Itching On The Face While On Estrogel?

Hello I am 57 and been on one daily pump of Estrogel and 100mg of Prometrium since one month. I have developed itchy skin especially around my face, it s driving me crazy, but nothing is visible topically. I also have bouts of nausea so I ve stoppec tbe Prometrium and Estrogel since two days. I have progesterone cream 1/4 tsp since two nights. I wonnder who the culprit is between the Prom and the Estrogel Thank you Johanne

Both estrogel and Prometrium have itching as a known side effect. In your case I believe Prometrium is the culprit as Estrogel is a local application medicine and unlike to produce side effect on face.
I recommend consulting with your doctor about changing the drug or dosage.
I would also recommend taking an over the counter anti allergic medicine like Cetirizine and applying cold water or ice packs to face to relieve itching.
