What Causes Severe Itchiness In The Limb In A Carcinoid Cancer Patient?

I have an uncontrollable itching that jus flares up anywhere or anytime. The only relief I can fine is to place ice packs on the areas that are itching. It usually starts on both arms , both legs or both ankles and then moves on from there. Not on my fave and just recently started on my back.I also have midgut carcinoid cancer with liver and bone mets.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to eczema. As first-line management, you can apply topical steroids like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
